Her Big Break (no pun intended)
After a fellow actor violated and stalked me, I took a hiatus from acting that began in early 2022. This prompted a leave of absence from university and days spent in hermit-mode. I wasn’t certain this industry was a safe place for me.
But I decided to take my life back.
I continued on the BFA track at The New School. In addition, I applied on a whim to take supplementary courses at New York University, and was accepted two weeks later. I booked classes and practice studios that my American Musical & Dramatic Academy conservatory alumni status offers.
The reins of my life were back in my hands.
When my world crumbled around me, the wreckage offered valuable lessons. I am my biggest advocate. But perhaps most notably: Do it even when you’re scared.
Who’s that girl?
Isabella Harvey is a New York City based actress and model.
Raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, Bella got her start in performing through ballet classes. According to witnesses, Bella’s theatrics began when she ran onstage at a talent show to sing You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift. By ten, she was cast in her first musical.
As she aged, Bella had to decide whether to pursue ballet professionally — until the universe made that decision. She was in a brutal accident, requiring a month long hospital stay. This meant wheelchair reliance for most of a year. Doctors didn’t initially know if Bella would walk again — Bella was not cued in on this. However, she made a brilliant recovery.
Bella likes to think her acting path was destined. She jokes that her life has been like a telenovela.
